How to Use BEACON

Life may at times present us with challenges or problems at home, in the family, or at work. Most of the time we work through these ourselves, or with help from family or friends. Sometimes our problems are especially difficult to manage, or our usual approach does not work.

We often have mixed feelings about asking for help with personal concerns. Tension and worries can begin to take over our lives as we struggle with the problem or try to learn to live with it. Our sleep, work, relationships, and even our health can be affected. Facing personal difficulty is rarely so painful as living with the problem.

When you, or eligible family members, need assistance with a personal problem or difficult situation, contact BEACON.

The Employee Assistance Program is a confidential, voluntary service. When you contact us, information will not be given to anyone else without your knowledge and permission, except as may be required by law in cases of a crime or life-threatening safety concern. The individual does not pay for services provided by BEACON.

BEACON provides assessment, problem-solving counseling, information, support, and referral assistance for a variety of problems. We do not perform diagnostics or treatment. If treatment is called for, we can help you to find and connect with resources. Some concerns that people bring to BEACON include:
